Welcome to The Alex we’re been here since 1876 and we’re proud to be your Wimbledon local. Here’s a little taster of what we’re all about. Whether it’s sipping a chilled glass of wine in our wonderful, open air Roof terrace, lunching in our Lounge bar, or watching sport on our big screens in the Sports bar, we aim to make your welcome the best and warmest it can be.

On Mondays our quiz is very popular. We are strictly a boffin free zone, and we kick off at 8.00pm in the lounge bar. Tuesday is Poker night, with a weekly Texas Holdem’ tournament it’s £5 entry (the most you can lose). We start at 8pm and beginners are very welcome, it’s a great way of meeting people.

On Friday and Saturday we have live entertainment in the Lounge bar. We have our DJ’s on both nights and they play the tunes everyone loves, it makes for a great night. Sunday is our kick back day, and you can have a beautiful Sunday roast by the real fire (it’s almost that time of year!), with freshly baked homemade Yorkshires and real gravy, or chill out over a pint with the papers.

All week we show Sports on the big screen and TV’s in our Sports bar or you can wander up to our open air Roof terrace and watch the world go by in the Sun (there is still a little bit left). We even supply fleecy blankets for those chillier evenings (hot water bottles coming soon, watch this space), it’s fabulous.

There truly is something for everyone at the Alex, everyone’s local in Wimbledon.
