Description:
Browns West India Quay, is situated in this developing area of London's Docklands. It is accessible by the Docklands Light Railway at West India Quay or from Canary Wharf via a footbridge.
West India Quay as its name suggests took ships and cargo from the Caribbean. Our restaurant is housed in a sugar warehouse, built in the early nineteenth century by Napoleonic Prisoners of War. It has the lowest ceilings of any Browns, witness to the fact that sugar because of its weight could only be stored to a height of 8 feet!
There are over 200 seats on the ground floor - the bar is on the lower floor. There drinks may be purchased together with a choice from our normal menu. On the front of the restaurant and overlooking the dock there is more seating for diners where again the full Browns menu is served.
