Description:
'Very nice place, Oxford, I should think, for people that like that kind of place,' said Bernard Shaw rather sharply.
Well, a lot of people do like that kind of place, 'That sweet city with her dreaming spires' (thank you, Matthew Arnold), including a great many Browns customers.
Many of our customers believe that Browns started in Oxford - it was in fact our second restaurant. We transformed an old Morris Garage into the archetypal British brasserie. We are situated where St Giles meets Woodstock Road - the restaurant has windows that open on to the street in the summer and is popular and very well known with students, families, business people and tourists to Oxford.
